Certificates should include the individual’s name, the training date, number of training hours earned, and the name of trainer or training organization. These trainings will continue to count towards advancement on the SEED Career Ladder. See the SEED Career Ladder for more details.

During Phase I of the Alaska SEED Trainer and Training Approval System, SEED invites and encourages early childhood and school age trainers to apply to be a SEED-approved Trainer and to submit their training(s) to be SEED-approved. Participating in the SEED Trainer and Training Approval System demonstrates a commitment to offering and ensuring high quality trainers and training and alignment with the SEED Core Knowledge and Competencies. thread values high quality training and professional development for educators and is proud to share that all of the thread Professional Development Specialists and trainers are now approved SEED Trainers.

SEED also encourages early childhood and school-age conferences to incorporate the Conference and Event Training Approval Application in their RFP workshop proposal process.

Over the next year, the SEED Trainer and Training Approval System Subcommittee will continue to meet to develop Phase II of the SEED Trainer and Training Approval System.  SEED is committed to keeping you and the early childhood and school-age education community updated on the developments of the SEED Trainer and Training Approval System.
